Class Calendar Fall 2010

 

All Ballet Wolcott classes and special events are located at the Wolcott Town Hall on Route 15 in Wolcott, VT unless otherwise noted. 

 

Dates

Classes Begin: Wednesday, September 8, 2010
Thanksgiving Vacation: Wednesday, November 24-Sunday, November 28, 2010
Last Day of Classes: Saturday, December 18, 2010
Winter/Christmas Break: Sunday, December, 19, 2010- Sunday, January 2, 2011

Mondays: 

West African Drumming with Jordan Mensah (beginning - intermediate) 5:45 - 6:30pm
West African Dance with Jordan Mensah (beginning-intermediate) 6:30 - 8:00pm

Early Creative Movement with Brandy Ofciarcik-Perez (age 3) 3:30 - 4:15pm

*Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet and Beginning Ballet have limited enrollment.

 

Class Tuition & Fees

• West African Drumming: $84
• West African Dance Classes: $168

• 45 Minute Class: $98
• 1 Hour Class: $112
• 1 1/4 Hour Class: $126
• 1 1/2 Hour Class: $140

 

*Payment in full due on the first day of the class. Payment plans are available.
There are no refunds. Tuition may be applied to future classes.

GENERAL CLASS POLICIES

 

• Students will be notified of any class cancellations by telephone. 

• If the public schools are canceled due to dangerous weather, classes will automatically be canceled.

• Classes will be held on teacher in-service days.

 

 

CLASS ATTIRE

 

Creative Movement:

For girls, leotards, tights, and ballet slippers are preferred. Boys should wear sweat pants, a t-shirt, and ballet shoes. Feel free to bring your favorite costume (as long as you can comfortably dance in it) to dress up at storytime. Long hair should be pulled up and off of the neck.

Pre-Ballet:

Girls should wear a baby blue leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Boys should wear sweat pants or black tights, a t-shirt, and ballet shoes. Long hair should be pulled up and off of the neck.

Beginning Ballet:

Girls should wear a pink leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Boys should wear sweat pants or black tights, a t-shirt, and ballet shoes.  Long hair should be pulled up and off of the neck.

Ballet 1:

Girls should wear a lavendar leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Boys should wear sweat pants or black tights, a t-shirt, and ballet shoes. Long hair should be pulled up and off of the neck.

 

African Dance:

Wear comfortable non-restrictive clothing and hair pulled back. You will be dancing in your bare feet.

 

Jazz & Lyrical Classes:

Wear a leotard with black jazz pants and black jazz or ballet shoes. Long hair should be pulled away from the face and off of the neck.**No jeans or clothes with pockets, please.

 

Tap Classes:

Girls should wear a leotard with tights or black jazz pants and black tap shoes. Boys should wear a t-shirt with black jazz pants and black tap shoes. Long hair should be pulled away from the face and off of the neck.**No jeans or clothes with pockets, please.

 

Hip Hop/Funk:

Wear clean, non-marking sneakers and loose fitting clothing or dance pants and tank top/leotard. Hair should be pulled back.
