Contemporary is ballet based in structure and combines influences of modern and jazz dance for a dynamic style of dance. This class will focus on self-expression, an expansion of dance movement vocabulary, and a deeper understanding of technique. In order to succeed in contemporary class it is highly recommended that dancers also attend Intermediate Ballet.

Attire: ​Black leotard, tights and/or leggings or shorts, socks or bare feet, and hair in a neat bun. Boys must wear black tights, a white t-shirt. For boys, long hair must be neatly tied back off of the face and neck.
